The Egyptian Journal of Botany (ISSN: 0375-9237) is the official publication of the Egyptian Botanical Society and has been published by the Egyptian Academy of Science and Technology since 1960. As of 2015, the journal is published in three issues (April, August, and December) every year online for free access as well as print. The journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality original research, short communications and review articles in all fields of botany, plant sciences, and microbiology. The topics covered by the journal are ecology and flora, taxonomy, genetics and genomics, conservation biology, biodiversity and evolution, phytogeography, paleobotany, phycology, physiology and biochemistry, environmental stresses, phytochemistry, ethnobotany, microbiology (bacteria, fungi and viruses), plant pathology, cell and molecular biology, cytology and ultrastructure, and plant biotechnology.
