Egyptian Journal of Botany is the official publication of the Egyptian Botanical Society since 1960. The journal is published online in four issues (January, April, July, and October) every year. The journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality original research, short communications and review articles in all fields of botany, plant sciences, and microbiology. The topics covered by the journal are ecology and flora, taxonomy, genetics and genomics, conservation biology, biodiversity and evolution, phytogeography, paleobotany, phycology, physiology and biochemistry, environmental stresses, phytochemistry, ethnobotany, microbiology (bacteria, fungi, and viruses), plant pathology, cell and molecular biology, cytology and ultrastructure, and plant biotechnology.
